FOCUS is a community-based, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enhance employment opportunities in the South Simcoe area.

FOCUS began in 1985 providing a number of community services and in 1987 employment services were added to the organization. This gives FOCUS vast experience delivering employment programs in South Simcoe County.

FOCUS has always been committed to ensuring the health of the community. Economic health through employment is a key factor in a healthy community and it is in this area that FOCUS continues to concentrate its efforts.

By working closely with other community partners and services, FOCUS has been able to achieve economy and efficiency while providing quality service.

The employment, education and training goals of the client will form the basis of the service each client receives.

Resources of the organization will be used fairly, effectively and efficiently, with respect and in a quality and customer service oriented manner.

Accessibility

• We will ensure that all clients have access to the resources and supports for which they are eligible.

Responsibility

• We will strive to ensure that there is no duplication in the provision of services to our clients. The client will be placed either in the Federal or Provincial stream of programming dependent on which intervention best meets the clients' needs.

Reliability

• We will provide well-trained staff who offer timely and up to date information and service. Where the issue is beyond our scope, we aim to introduce and refer the client, when appropriate, to alternative sources of advice and support within our community in order to respond to their needs as quickly as possible.

Accountability

• Whenever possible, and through a variety of methods, we will monitor and utilize our clients' feedback in order to ensure that our services are meeting the needs of those individuals the programs are intended to serve.
