The Assistant Cook Pre-Apprenticeship Program is well under way, with all 15 participants who have successfully completed their Academic Upgrading at The Learning Centre Alliston Campus.  April 26th the participants headed off to Georgian College Barrie Campus to complete 12 weeks of Level 1 Training. 

Participants will cover:

·   Sanitation

·   Safety

·   Business Development

·   Nutrition

·   Kitchen Management

·   Food and Bake Theory

·   Culinary Techniques.  

Participants indicate they are thrilled to be part of this tuition free training program and are excited to be on their career path to becoming successful Assistant Cooks and long term becoming "Chef's".

FOCUS is in partnership with The Learning Centre Alliston Campus and Georgian College Barrie Campus to deliver this Pre-Apprenticeship Program that is funded by the Government of Ontario.
